From the research laboratories of Pantnagar Agriculture University, where I began my career as an Assistant Professor in Soil Chemistry, to decades of service in the Indian Police Service, one truth has remained constant: education is the key to a nation’s progress.

With a vision to facilitate a safe, accessible, and affordable learning environment for students, we put the foundation of our dream institution over two decades ago. By the hard work, passion, and integrity of our students, management team, faculties, and other contributors, Banaras Institute of Teacher’s Education is holding its position as a leading institution of education in the country.

We are maintaining academic excellence and integrity with outstanding teaching facilities and services. We are using the latest technology to improve the quality of teaching and learning. We have well-experienced and highly motivated faculty, staff, and skill development trainers to make sure that our students are benefited to the maximum.

Over two decades, I have watched BITE grow from a single B.Ed. programme to a multidisciplinary institution offering 14 programmes across Education, Humanities, Science, Commerce, Management, and Technology with a total sanctioned intake of 1,580 students — equipped with NEP 2020 framework, interdisciplinary thinking, and a deep sense of social responsibility.
