Privacy Policy

Banaras Institute of Teacher's Education ("BITE", "we", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our website visitors, students, and applicants. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide through our enquiry forms, admission applications, and contact forms — including name, phone number, email, academic details, and course preferences.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used for admission processing, academic communication, and institutional purposes. We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with advertising and analytics partners only as described below.

Advertising & Analytics Partners

We advertise our programmes on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google. To measure whether that advertising works and to avoid showing ads to people they are not relevant for, we share limited data from the forms on this website — admission enquiries, applications and job applications — with these platforms. Meta's Automatic Advanced Matching reads the phone number or email address you type into a form and hashes it in your browser before it is sent; we do not send the readable value.

What we share: your email address and phone number in hashed (SHA-256 encoded, non-readable) form; the programme you enquired about and an associated indicative value; the stage your enquiry reached (for example, whether it led to an admission); and advertising click identifiers (such as Google's gclid or Meta's fbc/fbp cookies) where present.
What we never share: your academic records, uploaded documents, marks, category or income details, or payment information.
Why: conversion measurement (telling the platform which ads led to genuine admissions), improving ad relevance, and building audiences of people similar to our students. The platforms act per their own privacy policies: Meta, Google.

We also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use this website (pages viewed, interactions, and anonymised session replays). These tools set cookies for that purpose.

Your choices: to have your data excluded from advertising measurement and audiences, write to enquiry@bitevns.ac.in from the email address you used on our form, and we will remove it from future uploads to these platforms.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
