Where Every Child's Future Begins — primary teacher training, classroom practice from Sem 1
Admission 2026-27 details — fees, deadline, eligibility, scholarshipsSpecialized primary teacher training for Classes I–VIII, recognized by SCERT and aligned with RTE Act provisions.
The Diploma in Elementary Education at BITE is a two-year, SCERT-recognized and NCTE-approved professional programme designed specifically for teachers of Classes I–VIII. Where B.Ed prepares teachers for secondary and senior-secondary schools, D.El.Ed is the Right-to-Education Act 2009-mandated qualification for primary-school teaching in India — and is the gateway to government-school assistant-teacher posts in Uttar Pradesh, central-government Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas, and most private schools. The programme's curriculum is built around the developmental psychology of children aged 6-14, primary-school pedagogy (Hindi, English, Mathematics, EVS, Science, Social Studies), early literacy and numeracy, inclusive-classroom practices, child-rights and RTE Act frameworks, and community connect — recognising that a primary-school teacher operates in a web that includes the child, family, village, and panchayat. Admission in Uttar Pradesh is through UPBEEC (UP Basic Education Entrance Counselling); BITE admits candidates based on the UPBEEC counselling process, typically requiring graduation from a recognised university as the minimum qualification. 50 sanctioned seats per year. Semester 4 includes UPTET / CTET preparation — the essential qualifying exam for UP government-school teaching posts. BITE's alumni routinely secure positions in UP government basic-education schools, KVS, NVS, and private English-medium primary schools; others progress to B.Ed + M.Ed for teacher-educator careers, NIOS / open-schooling tutor roles, and NGO-programme positions focused on primary education and learning-outcome interventions in the ASER / Pratham tradition.
