Why BITE for Sasaram students
NCTE recognition is national — BITE B.Ed qualifies Sasaram graduates for BTET, CTET, and both Bihar and UP government teaching jobs.
Sasaram-Varanasi express train corridor (90 min) makes weekend home visits routine — many BITE students from Sasaram travel home most weekends.
BITE D.El.Ed (BTC) admits on 10+2 merit; Rohtas BTC centres frequently fill via state counselling before BITE's direct-entry option.
BITE's 200+ hour primary practicum (D.El.Ed) places trainees in BITE's partner government and private schools, including school-network branches in Rohtas.
CTET + BTET integrated coaching in B.Ed final semester — direct pathway to Bihar Education Service teacher recruitment.

How to reach BITE
Sasaram is the headquarters of Rohtas district, on the GT Road (NH-19), 140 km east of BITE Varanasi. The Sasaram-Varanasi corridor is well-served by both road and rail — most students travel by overnight train. Rohtas district has a few NCTE B.Ed colleges but seats are limited and admission is fiercely competitive, pushing many students west to Varanasi.
By rail. Sasaram Junction → Varanasi Cantt (1.5-2 hours by express) → Babatpur (40 min by road). Sasaram is on the Howrah-Delhi main line — frequent train options.
By road. Direct buses and shared tempos connect Sasaram to Varanasi continuously through the day. Babatpur is on the western edge of Varanasi, accessible via the city ring-road.
Hostel option. For students from Sasaram who prefer residential study, Babatpur offers significantly lower cost-of-living than Varanasi city centre, Lucknow, or Allahabad student-accommodation markets.
We list peer institutions transparently so Sasaramstudents can make an informed comparison. BITE's differentiators — NCTE recognition (B.Ed since 2003), 15-programme breadth, MGKVP equivalence, and the Babatpur campus location — are detailed elsewhere on this page.
