Banaras Institute of Teacher's Education ("BITE", "we", "us"), run by Purwanchal Educational Trust, respects your right to have your personal data erased under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This page explains how to ask us to delete your data, in plain words.
What you can ask us to delete
- Your admission enquiry — name, phone number, email, course interest, and notes from our conversations with you.
- Messages you sent us on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, or through this website's forms.
- Documents you uploaded during an application that did not proceed.
How to request deletion
Use any one of these, whichever is easiest for you:
- Email enquiry@bitevns.ac.in — ideally from the email address you gave us, with the phone number you used to enquire.
- Phone or WhatsApp +91 77040 33222 — say you want your data deleted.
- In person or by post — a short written request at our campus office (address in the footer below).
Please mention: your name, the mobile number you used with us, and what you want deleted (everything, or something specific).
What happens next
- We confirm the request really comes from you — usually a one-time code (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number.
- We complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm to you once it is done.
- If you enquired through a Facebook or Instagram ad or message, we also remove your details from future audience uploads to those platforms.
What we may have to keep
If you became an enrolled student, some records must be kept by law — academic results, fee receipts, and records our affiliating university or tax rules require. We keep only what the law demands, for only as long as it demands, and delete or anonymise everything else.
