AKTU's KMBN scheme has you graduate with TWO specialisations from six — Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, International Business, IT — a broader profile than single-major MBAs.
The 6–8 week industry internship between Year 1 and Year 2 is AICTE-mandated — every student graduates with real industry exposure on the CV.
At BITE Varanasi the KMBN syllabus runs in the AICTE-approved, 60-seat programme — the inaugural Golden Batch pays ₹1,65,000 total, ₹20,000 less than the regular structure.
KMBN is AKTU's paper-code series for the MBA curriculum — KMBN101–107 are the first-semester core papers (Management Concepts & OB, Managerial Economics, Financial Accounting & Analysis, Business Statistics & Analytics, Marketing Management, Design Thinking, Business Communication), KMBN201–208 the second-semester cores, each semester adding IT-skills labs and mini projects.
Year 1 is the common KMBN core (Semesters I and II, 26 credits each), followed by the AICTE-mandated 6–8 week summer internship. Year 2 (Semesters III and IV) is the dual-specialisation phase — students choose any two of Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Operations, International Business, and IT — plus a research project.
Yes. The AICTE Approval Process Handbook mandates an industry internship for every admitted student; in the AKTU scheme it runs 6–8 weeks between Semester II and Semester III.
Every AKTU-affiliated MBA college follows the KMBN scheme. At BITE Varanasi (AKTU college code 1284) the same syllabus is taught in the AICTE-approved 60-seat programme — the inaugural Golden Batch cohort pays ₹1,65,000 total for the two years.
Through AKTU's centralised UPTAC counselling on CUET-PG scores, or — for seats remaining after counselling — institute-level direct admission on graduation merit, where CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT and GMAT scores are also welcome. See the UPTAC counselling guide for the step-by-step process.
