एमए समाजशास्त्र प्रवेश 2026-27
MGKVP-affiliated, 2-year Master of Arts in Sociology at BITE Varanasi. The curriculum moves from Durkheim, Weber, and Marx through contemporary theorists — Foucault, Bourdieu, Amartya Sen — and grounds theory in M.N. Srinivas, Andre Beteille, and Yogendra Singh's readings of Indian social structure. Ethnographic fieldwork spans Babatpur villages, Varanasi urban slums, and the Ganga-ghats temple economy; a multi-semester research-methodology component culminates in a dissertation-led final semester.
