बी.एस.सी. प्रवेश 2026-27
MGKVP-affiliated, UGC-recognised 3-year Bachelor of Science at BITE Varanasi. Fully-equipped Physics, Chemistry, and Biology laboratories for practical work, with a science-focused faculty drawn from BHU and MGKVP research lineages.
Affiliated to MGKVP
Sanctioned seats per year
6 Semesters
Deadline July 31, 2026
Why BITE
Degree awarded by Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith. UGC Sections 2(f) and 12(B) — valid for M.Sc admission, government science recruitment, research scholarships, and competitive exams.
Separate Physics lab, Chemistry lab, and Biology lab — each with instrument sets, reagents, preparation rooms, and storage. Semester-wise practical curriculum with lab exam and viva.
B.Sc. is the direct feeder into M.Sc (Physics / Chemistry / Zoology / Botany / Mathematics). Research-oriented students proceed to Ph.D. via CSIR-NET / GATE / JAM.
B.Sc. qualifies graduates for lab technician / scientific officer posts in UP health department, ICAR, DRDO, ISRO (via exam), and state pollution control / agriculture departments.
B.Sc. + B.Ed is the standard qualification for TGT Science and PGT Science school-teaching posts. BITE's B.Ed programme is on-campus — seamless internal progression.
BITE's B.Sc. fees are competitive within the private-college Varanasi market while delivering functioning lab infrastructure (a differentiator vs many private B.Sc. programmes in smaller campuses).
Comparative Positioning
B.Sc in Varanasi has two distinct tiers. At the top sit the Banaras Hindu University Faculty of Science and Udai Pratap (autonomous) College — both with national reputations and highly competitive cut-offs. Below them, a handful of MGKVP-affiliated private B.Sc colleges including the Banaras Institute of Teacher's Education (BITE), Microtek Group, and SMS Varanasi compete on lab depth, faculty quality, and affordability. BITE's position in this tier is anchored on dedicated PCM (Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics) and PCB (Physics-Chemistry-Biology) labs that are exclusive to the science department — not shared with BCA or general-purpose practical sessions.
The real differentiator at the UG-science level is what comes after graduation. BITE's curriculum is designed around the three most-pursued post-B.Sc pathways: (a) M.Sc admission via state and central university entrance exams, (b) B.Ed admission via UP B.Ed JEE (B.Sc + B.Ed is the gold-standard qualification for CBSE / ICSE PGT science posts), and (c) competitive examinations including GATE / CSIR-NET / SSC Scientific Assistant. Final-semester elective modules target preparation for all three. The MGKVP-issued B.Sc degree carries UGC Sections 2(f) and 12(B) recognition, valid for national-level postgraduate admission and government science recruitment. The full affiliation papers are downloadable from the Mandatory Disclosure page.
The natural post-B.Sc pivot into teacher education is well- served at the same campus — see the B.Ed admission page for the UP B.Ed JEE route into secondary-teacher training, or the D.El.Ed (BTC) admission page for primary-stage teaching (which prefers B.Sc graduates for science-methodology specialisation). BITE B.Sc + BITE B.Ed done back-to-back at the same campus saves on travel, accommodation, and credential-transfer hassles versus moving cities between the two degrees.

BITE offers B.Sc. in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) streams, along with Home Science, Statistics, and Geography as major/minor options under the NEP 2020 multidisciplinary framework.
10+2 with Science stream (PCM/PCB) from any recognized board, minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories). Students must have passed Mathematics or Biology depending on the chosen combination.
Yes. Every semester includes hands-on laboratory sessions in the chosen science subjects — Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, or Home Science labs. The programme also includes industry visits and guided research exposure.
Yes. BITE graduates routinely progress to M.Sc. programmes at BHU, MGKVP, and other universities, as well as integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. programmes. B.Ed after B.Sc. is also a popular pathway for aspiring school teachers.
B.Sc. admission is merit-based on 10+2 marks; no separate entrance test is conducted by BITE. Applications are reviewed and admissions are offered on a first-come, first-served basis within seat availability.
Graduates pursue M.Sc., B.Ed (to teach Science in schools), government jobs (SSC, Railway, PCS), laboratory-technician roles, pharmaceutical and agricultural industries, and competitive exams like NET/GATE after post-graduation.
No. B.Sc. admission at BITE is direct-merit based on Class 12 Science (PCM or PCB) aggregate plus MGKVP counselling — CUET-UG is not required. CUET-UG is mandatory only for BHU's B.Sc. (Hons) programmes in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Statistics, etc. MGKVP itself, all MGKVP-affiliated colleges (including BITE), and AKTU-affiliated colleges admit directly via Class 12 merit — no CUET, no entrance exam, decision within days. The MGKVP-issued B.Sc. degree carries UGC 2(f) + 12(B) recognition and is fully accepted for M.Sc., NET-JRF, civil-services, and industry roles.
B.Sc. total tuition at BITE for the 2026-27 cohort is ₹40,500 across 6 semesters (₹6,500 + ₹6,500 + ₹7,000 + ₹6,500 + ₹7,500 + ₹6,500) per the MGKVP-approved fee structure. Admission Form fee and University examination fees are charged separately. See /fee-structure for the live, semester-wise breakdown.
240 sanctioned seats per year for B.Sc. at BITE Varanasi, allotted under Uttar Pradesh state reservation norms (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, women). Seat allotment is merit-based; early applications complete document verification ahead of the cycle close on July 31, 2026.
