Admission 2026-27 details — fees, deadline, eligibility, scholarshipsMaster's programme in Political Science covering political theory, comparative politics, international relations, Indian government and politics, and public administration.
The Master of Arts in Political Science at BITE is a two-year programme across four semesters, designed for students serious about political theory, governance, public administration, and international relations. Affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, the curriculum covers Western political thought from Plato to Rawls, Indian political thought from Kautilya to Ambedkar, the Indian Constitution and federal governance, comparative politics, international relations, public administration, political sociology, and research methodology. BITE encourages a live debate and MUN (Model United Nations) culture — students represent BITE at inter-college MUNs across Uttar Pradesh, and the department hosts an annual parliamentary debate competition. The programme's greatest long-term value is for UPSC/UPPSC aspirants: Political Science and International Relations is a high-scoring optional, and the full optional syllabus is covered within the MA curriculum. Faculty offer targeted civil-services coaching during the final year. 60 sanctioned seats per year; applicants with BA Political Science, History, Public Administration, or International Relations (50% aggregate minimum) are eligible. Graduates progress to Ph.D. research, UGC-NET/JRF Assistant Professor roles, civil services (UPSC, UPPSC), political journalism, think-tank research (Observer Research Foundation, IDSA, CSEP), NGO policy analysis, public-affairs consultancy, legislative-assistant roles, and teaching (PGT after B.Ed).
