MGKVP B.Ed Admission — at BITE Varanasi

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a 2-year professional teacher-training programme that prepares graduates for upper-primary and secondary school teaching (Classes VI to XII). It is the mandatory qualification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET Paper II), UP Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET), and most state and central government school-teacher recruitment exams.

For an MGKVP-affiliated B.Ed degree to be valid, the college running the programme must hold its own NCTE recognition(National Council for Teacher Education). MGKVP itself does not directly accredit B.Ed; it issues the degree once an NCTE-recognised affiliated college has taught and assessed the candidate. This two-credential structure means prospective B.Ed students need to verify both the college’s NCTE recognition AND its MGKVP affiliation.

BITEhas held NCTE recognition for B.Ed since 2003 (NCTE Code 134) and permanent MGKVP affiliation since 2009 — a 20+ year track record that puts it in a small set of MGKVP-affiliated B.Ed colleges with continuous, uninterrupted recognition. The B.Ed cohort is 100 students per academic year. The programme structure follows MGKVP’s standard 4-semester pattern with theory papers, pedagogy of school subjects, EPC (Enhancing Professional Capacity) modules, micro-teaching practice, and the central 16+ week school internship across BITE’s 40+ partner schools.
