Does BITE Varanasi need a CUET score? Honestly — no.

BITE's undergraduate and teacher-education programmes admit directly on Class-12 merit through MGKVP— CUET is not required. CUET still matters here in two good ways: a strong CUET score earns BITE's CUET Merit Scholarship, and BITE's AKTU-affiliated MBA accepts a CUET-PGscore (among CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT) via AKTU counselling. CUET is the route for central universities like BHU — for an MGKVP degree at BITE you don't need it.

What is CUET, and what is the difference between CUET-UG and CUET-PG?

CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is a national entrance test conducted by the NTA for admission to participating universities. CUET-UG is for undergraduate admission (B.A., B.Sc, B.Com, etc.) at central universities (BHU, DU, JNU, Allahabad University, etc.) and many state/private universities; CUET-PG is for postgraduate admission (M.A., M.Sc, M.Com, MBA, MCA, etc.). Both are applied for through the Samarth platform at cuet.samarth.ac.in.

When is CUET 2026 — typical dates?

Exact 2026 dates are confirmed in the official NTA notification. Typically CUET-UG runs in May-June (application window opening February-March), and CUET-PG runs in March-April. Always check the official CUET notification on cuet.samarth.ac.in (and exams.nta.ac.in) for the confirmed 2026 schedule rather than relying on third-party dates.

Do I need CUET to take admission at BITE Varanasi?

No — for BITE's undergraduate programmes (B.A., B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA) and its teacher-education programmes, admission is direct / merit-based through MGKVP — CUET is not required. CUET matters at BITE in two ways: (1) if you have a strong CUET score, BITE rewards it with a CUET Merit Scholarship; (2) BITE's AKTU-affiliated MBA accepts a CUET-PG score (among CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT) through AKTU counselling.

I took CUET-PG — can I use it for an MBA at BITE?

Yes. BITE's MBA is AICTE-approved and AKTU-affiliated (College Code 1284); admission is through AKTU central counselling, which accepts a valid score in any one of CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, GMAT or CUET-PG. So a CUET-PG 2026 score is one valid route into BITE's AKTU MBA. (Note: MGKVP's own MBA/MCA also use CUET-PG — that is a separate university from BITE's AKTU MBA.)

Didn't take / clear CUET — what are my options in Varanasi?

Plenty. Most MGKVP-affiliated UG programmes in Varanasi — including all of BITE's UG and teacher-education courses — admit on Class-12 merit through MGKVP, with no CUET requirement. So a missed or low CUET score does not block a recognised UG degree: you can take direct admission at BITE for B.A./B.Sc/B.Com/BBA/BCA or B.Ed/D.El.Ed/B.P.Ed and still earn a UGC-recognised MGKVP degree.
