AKTU MBA admission runs on CUET-PG scores — the earlier UPCET exam is discontinued. If you hold a CUET-PG score, you are counselling-eligible.
uptac.admissions.nic.in — AKTU's centralised counselling portal for all affiliated colleges. Create the candidate profile, upload documents, pay the counselling fee.
List colleges in preference order. To choose BITE Varanasi, add AKTU college code 1284 (MBA, 60 AICTE-sanctioned seats). Higher preference = higher chance of allotment there.
The portal allots seats by merit + preference across multiple online rounds. If allotted, pay the seat-acceptance fee within the window and choose freeze (accept) or float (wait for an upgrade).
Complete document verification at the allotted college and pay the first-semester fee to confirm the seat.
Seats remaining after the rounds are filled by AKTU itself, through its pre-registration for vacant and management seats (aktuadm.samarth.edu.in): CUET-PG holders are ranked first, then graduation-degree merit. Yes — UPTAC (Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling) is the official name of AKTU's centralised counselling. When people say "AKTU counselling 2026" they mean the UPTAC process on uptac.admissions.nic.in — registration, choice filling and seat allotment for AKTU-affiliated colleges, including BITE Varanasi (code 1284).
UPTAC (Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling) is AKTU's centralised online admission process for its affiliated colleges, run at uptac.admissions.nic.in — registration, choice filling, and merit-based seat allotment rounds for programmes including MBA.
CUET-PG. The earlier UPCET exam is discontinued — AKTU MBA counselling runs on CUET-PG scores. Candidates without CUET-PG cannot register for the rounds; they are considered on graduation merit only in the university's own vacant-seat pre-registration, after CUET-PG holders, when AKTU opens it.
BITE Varanasi's AKTU college code is 1284. Its MBA is AICTE-approved with 60 sanctioned seats — the inaugural Golden Batch (2026-27) pays ₹1,65,000 total, ₹20,000 below the regular structure.
AKTU fills them through its own pre-registration for vacant and management seats on aktuadm.samarth.edu.in — CUET-PG holders first, then graduation merit — and allots them itself. Clause 13 of AKTU's 2026 admission rules makes UPTAC the only valid channel apart from the 15% management quota, so there is no college-level "direct admission" on CAT / MAT / CMAT / XAT / GMAT scores.
MBA 2026-27 admission status (updated 16 September 2026): AICTE's last date for admission against vacant seats was 14 September 2026, and AKTU's pre-registration for vacant and management seats (8–14 September) has closed. A request to extend the date is before the Supreme Court. You can register your interest with BITE now — no fee. We will call you the day a window reopens; seat allotment follows the university's process.

No — only the MBA (BITE's AKTU-affiliated programme) goes through UPTAC. B.Ed uses UP B.Ed JEE counselling, D.El.Ed uses UPBEEC, and the MGKVP undergraduate programmes (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA, BBA) are direct merit admissions.
