JANHIT (Hindi: जनहित, meaning “for the welfare of the people”) is Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith's online student-services portal. It is the single source of truth for every MGKVP-affiliated student's academic record — results, marksheets, certificates, enrollment data, exam schedule, and re-evaluation applications.
The portal is operated by MGKVP's Examinations Section under the Controller of Examinations at the main campus in Varanasi. Every student enrolled in any of MGKVP's 200+ affiliated colleges — including BITE Varanasi, Vasanta College for Women, Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vidyalaya, and others — gets a JANHIT account at admission.
Official URL: janhit.mgkvp.ac.in — always type this directly. Never click JANHIT links from WhatsApp forwards, SMS, or unknown emails.

Change registered mobile number, email, or postal address. Critical to keep current — MGKVP sends exam-related SMS/email to these registered contacts.
Type the URL directly into a fresh browser tab, or click any "JANHIT" link from the BITE site. Avoid clicking shortened links or links from messages — login pages are a common phishing target.
On the homepage, the "Student Login" button is at the top-right corner (and also in the main menu). There's a separate "College Login" — do not click that one; it is for college admin staff only.
Your MGKVP enrollment number is the 12-digit identifier issued to you at admission. BITE students will find it printed on the BITE ID card and on every prior semester marksheet (usually top-left or top-right). It is NOT your Aadhaar, phone, or BITE roll number.
On your very first login, the password is your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format (the same DOB you submitted at admission). The portal will then ask you to set a permanent password and a security question — pick something only you would know.
Once logged in, the dashboard shows your enrolled programme and semester. Select the relevant semester from the "Result" or "Marksheet" menu, and download the PDF. Use the "Exam Schedule" menu to view upcoming exam date sheets.
